WANTED: Hard workers for remote exploration work. We are looking for sensible, safe, hardworking all-rounders to assist with survey and exploration work in remote parts of Australia and overseas. The work is often difficult and arduous, involves lots of time away from home, so would suit someone already used to this. Ideal for someone from a farming background who is fit, strong and can handle things when the going gets tough. Applicants that are capable of carrying out mechanical repairs in the bush will be favoured. +5-6 weeks away at times +Camping with limited facilities +Usually no phone network or internet +Long days 11-12 hour days +Very physical. Lots of walking in hot conditions, sometimes hilly. +Some basic computer processing required +MUST HAVE MR or HR TRUCK LICENCE +Knowledge of mapping and GPS handy, but not essential. +Must pass medical and drug test. The company will provide all training in use of equipment, instruments and GPS. If you don’t have first aid, you will need to get it at your own cost before starting. 260-270 per day starting wage.
